Degas -- The Colourful World of Degas

Much mystery surround Degas’s use of colour. As he didn’t publish his methods, we have to look at what is written about Degas, and look at his paintings, to try to figure out how he painted colour. This article is one such attempt, luckily made easier because the many unfinished works of his that are preserved.
