Robert Sloan's comment on Plein Air in "stealth mode" -- bare minimum of supplies

Wow! That's an incredibly clever idea. The box looks like the ones my Art Spectrum set just came in -- like it came with a 30 color set or 30 colors in a section of a larger set. But you packed way more than 30 colors in it. That makes so much sense if I want to have a larger palette with me outdoors and not have to haul something huge to keep it in.

So do the bulldog clips and the pad. I used to put a towel in a plastic grocery bag before leaving to do pastel sketches out in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I'd get one end of it wet and then accordion fold it with the dry part on top. I'd take it out and just dangle it over the side of my lawn chair, so I could wash my hands with the wet end and dry off with the dry end. Lots cheaper than Wet Wipes.

Other times I'd put a wet washcloth into a smaller plastic zipper bag and a dry towel in the bag with my pastels and art supplies. Same general idea, some dry toweling to dry up afterward and a wet towel to get my hands clean. It helped a lot especially when changing between cool colors and warm colors.
